Service Industry Shirts

Case study at your service. For almost 40 years, Cornerstone Electric has probably served customers in the Seattle, Washington region as a home service company that’s building it is employees with long-lasting branded work wear. Cornerstone Electric initially turned to a commercial uniform supply company but became increasingly dissatisfied with the inferior quality of the garments and the typical customer service. Realizing they needed to make a change, the wife of Cornerstone Electric recommended Erik Mickelson, a sales person at Northwest Custom Apparel and Digital Printing in Milton, Washington with whom she had worked directly to source apparel at her job with a nearby construction company.

Cornerstone Electric

Mickelson partnered with Cornerstone Electric to create a complete work wear program from scratch. 20 years later they still collaborate on a regular basis fulfilling consistent orders for their field work shirt. We chose these particular shirts because they are crisp, professional looking and resistant to industrial laundering. They provide the high level of durability and longevity, what Cornerstone Electric needs.

While the exact number of shirts sold to Cornerstone Electric over the past 20 years is difficult to surmise, Wilson says it is the thousands. Each worker is usually given three shirts in a quick rotation, so they do not start to look shabby, he explains. There are many weeks that we do not process an order for them. Northwest Custom Apparel has also created screen printed tees and branded hard goods for this account as well as a variety of branded apparel including casual work wear, headwear, and outerwear.

When it come to designing work wear, Nelson says, “Simplicity and efficiency are key since the design will be running always on the machines.” Also, the embroidery and the apparel should be durable and professional. When Northwest Custom Apparel enters a home, their well branded and consistent clothing helps to identify them at a glance and reassure the customer.
