1: Go to a nearby wood and collect some pinecones which you can just dip in gold paint. Cheap and easy this is incredibly festive and looks classy and fabulous in your living room!
2: Visit a nearby fabric store and buy a few yards of cheap ribbon to wrap around your tree, this has an old timey look and ribbon is cheap to buy in bulk!
3: While you’re at the fabric store, grab some gold sheer fabric and drape it artfully over the mantle piece. Hold it in place with some homemade candleholders. Get some clean, empty wine bottles and stick dollar store candles in the top. It looks rustic and creative!
4: For the decorator with a sweet tooth, put out bowls of Christmas candy in pretty stemmed glassware.
5: Make a hanging banner of Christmas cards! Hang some rope or twine and hang all your Christmas cards over it. Instantly festive and every time you look at it you will be reminded of the loved ones that sent the cards.
6: Wrap a Christmas colored ribbon around the bottom of a lamp and turn the light on, it adds a splash of color and lamps create a beautiful, warm light.
7: Spray paint empty, clean beer or wine bottles and fill them with flowers or greenery.
8: Place a wine glass upside down, put some greenery underneath it in the cup part and place a tea light candle on the top. It’s a great candleholder and looks very creative!
