Today, Jim Mickelson, owner of Northwest Custom Apparel, and his son Erik met up with an old friend and sales rep from San Mar who called on us. Rich Jacobs, in charge of the San Mar PSST program on the west coast, stopped by to share ideas and see how we are doing.
What is Sanmar’s PSST Program?
The PSST program is unique to San Mar. The acronym stands for Packed Separately Shipped Together. Why go to so much trouble to pack together and ship?
It is a unique program that keeps us buying from and using other vendors in our trade. The program applies to our customers who buy from San Mar and use the program and us. Our customers buying from San Mar have the goods shipped to us for decoration and receive free freight. Even one piece.
Daily we have the PSST truck delivering to us with all our contract orders pre-sorted. We must match our design programs with the PSST goods and send them to production. No more sorting or counting goods in because San Mar ships are 100% complete and ready to decorate.

In the Northwest, Northwest Custom Apparel is the largest direct-to-garment decorator that uses Kornit printers. They also have embroidery available. Their goal is to have a customer place an order with San Mar, and the NWCA staff will do the rest, including blind shipping.
I have included a picture of Jim Mickelson, CEO of Northwest Custom Apparel, and Rich Jacobs of
San Mar. Rich did pay for the lunch, and we thank Marty Lott CEO San Mar, for covering the bill.
