When a new business comes to town, it’s exciting for everyone. When Federal Express Ground opened its state-of-the-art distribution facility in Fife, WA, in 2016, we were thrilled. This massive facility, the biggest of its kind in Washington at the time, brought hundreds of jobs to our community. Even better, our team with Erik Mickelson at Northwest Custom Apparel was lucky enough to get a tour of the new building from the facility manager, Curtis Edenfield. This visit wasn’t just a quick look around; it was a chance to see a huge operation firsthand and understand their commitment to the area.
This project was a great example of how we help large companies feel like a part of the local community. We were proud to be chosen to create something special for this new facility.
The Project: A Custom Mt. Rainier Logo
For the new Fife location, the FedEx team wanted to do something unique to celebrate their new home in the Pacific Northwest. They asked us to create a special logo that would give their traditional brand a local feel. We took on the challenge and created a design that was both professional and deeply connected to our region.
Our new logo concept features the classic FedEx Ground emblem, but with a beautiful, custom touch: the outline of Mt. Rainier in the background. We wanted to show how the facility is part of the local landscape, with the iconic mountain standing tall behind it. We used our expert embroidery skills to bring this design to life, ensuring every stitch was perfect. We hope to see all the employees at the Fife location wearing this awesome rendition of the FedEx logo, which brings a piece of our local identity to a global brand.
