Federal Express Ground Opens in Fife, WA

Federal Express to open state of the art distribution facility

You won’t believe what is coming to Fife, WA in June 2016. That’s right, a brand new Federal Express Ground distribution facility that is a state of the art that can provide 99.98% shipping accuracy.  Erik Mickelson from Northwest Custom Apparel was lucky enough to have a tour of the new facility by facility manager, Curtis Edenfield.

How big is this Fed Ex Facility?

The facility has 110 truck bays and over 600 employees. It will be the biggest facility in Washington State. Fed Ex predicts they will surpass UPS in package delivery by 2020.  I am not sure how many square feet this building is, but the parking lot looks like Century Link Field!

Mt. Rainier and Fed Ex Logo

Northwest Custom Apparel created a special Mt. Rainier logo for Fed Ex. It gives the traditional Fed Ex logo a local feel for the Pacific Northwest. The logo is embroidered with Fed Ex Ground in the foreground and Mt. Rainier in the background. Hopefully, we will see all employees at the Fife location wearing this awesome rendition of the Fed Ex logo.
