Before joining our team at Northwest Custom Apparel, Ruth honed her skills at Polar Graphics in Kent. From 1993 to 1998, she worked as a screen press operator, developing a strong foundation in the industry. In pursuit of a shorter commute and attracted by our company culture, Ruth made the pivotal decision to join Northwest Custom Apparel on August 5, 1998.
Key Contributions and Achievements
- Production Supervisor: On June 5th, 2000, Ruthie achieved a significant career milestone when she was promoted to the role of Production Supervisor. In this position, she provided valuable assistance to the Production Manager, Mongkon Ham, playing a key role in overseeing factory operations.
- Record-Breaking Achievement in 2008: On June 5th, 2008, Ruthie led the cap department to an extraordinary feat at Northwest Custom Apparel. Under her supervision, the team produced 20,000 embroidered caps within a 30-day period, setting a new production record that surpassed any since 1977.
- Employee of the Year 2009: Ruth was honored with the prestigious Employee of the Year award, a recognition voted on by her colleagues. This accolade highlights her exceptional contributions and the high esteem in which she is held by her peers at Northwest Custom Apparel.
- Dual Recognition as Employee of the Year: Ruthie was once again honored with the Employee of the Year award in 2020. This marked the second time she received this prestigious accolade, reaffirming her exceptional contributions and enduring commitment to excellence.

Ruth’s initiative to create customer samples, known as “WOWs,” to impress our clients significantly impacted our business this year.
